NY Times: HOMEY TASTES, BUT COMPLEX, TOO
"ONE of my favorite dishes at River City Grille in Irvington is the petit filet
mignon, cooked just as ordered and served with fresh peas and crunchy fries
(substituted for mashed potatoes without any problem). Another is the Thai beef,
marinated in ginger, soy, garlic and hoisin sauce, pan sauteed and served with nicely
dressed noodles in peanut sauce. I know this only because my daughter ordered them
from the children's menu (for those
under 12) ....a rare example of sophisticated kid-friendly food ....part of the
attentive but not obsequious customer focus you'll find at
the restaurant.
