Architecture: The Rhinecliff was built in 1854 by architect George Veitch as a simple rooming house for travelers. The hotel is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. After a major six million dollar renovation the hotel has emerged with new life as a boutique country, full-service hotel. The building features beautiful antique wood floors, historic beams, re-finished doors, stone fireplaces hand-stacked by an English craftsman and the original Victorian oak bar, all painstakingly cleaned and restored to their original pristine condition. |
