Directions to The Rhinecliff
From NYS Thruway (I-87) North or South:
Exit NYS Thruway at Exit 19. At toll follow the signs to the Rhinecliff-Kingston Bridge. You will
be on Rte 209 as you enter the Toll for the bridge ($1) As you go over the bridge, the road turns
into Rte 199. At the first light, make a right onto River Rd (Rte 103) Stay to the right of any
forks in the road to the end. At the end of River Road, turn/fork right (west). Go 1 mile. You
will pass the Amtrak Train Station on your right. Now follow the instructions into Rhinecliff past
the Amtrak station.
From Route 9 Headed North:
As you approach Rhinebeck village, you will pass the cemetary on your left. At the traffic lights
(Beekman Arms is on your left), turn left. After 1 mile on Rte 308 there is a forked
junction--keep left and straight on. You will pass the Amtrak Train Station on your right. Now
follow the instructions into Rhinecliff past the Amtrack station.
From Route 9 Headed South:
As you approach Rhinebeck village, you will pass Dutchess County Fairgrounds on your left. At the
traffic lights (Rhinebeck Savings Bank is on your left), turn right. After 1 mile on Rte 308 there
is a forked junction--keep left and straight on. You will pass the Amtrak Train Station on your
right. Now follow the instructions into Rhinecliff past the Amtrack station.
Into Rhinecliff Past The Amtrak Station:
At the first stop sign after the station, turn right onto Shatzell Avenue. Drive into the bottom.
The Rhinecliff is the big yellow structure on the left. Turn left at the hotel up Grinnell Street
to drop off bags at the reception drive-in, or go straight past the hotel down Shatzell Avanue,
and turn left into the hotel parking lot facing the river.
From the Rhinecliff Amtrak Station:
Amtrak connects Rhinecliff to New York City, Albany, Montreal, Niagara Falls and Toroonto, with
several running daily. The Rhinecliff Amtrak station is a two-minute walk from the hotel. When you
get off the train, get off onto the station platform. Do not go up the stairs into the station
building--go South to the other end of the platform--you will see a steel walkway bridge over the
tracks, which takes you over to a large yellow structure: the hotel. If your bags are heavy,
