About Rhinecliff

The hotel is located in Rhinecliff, a hamlet of the town of Rhinebeck in northern Dutchess County. Rhinecliff, founded in 1686 as the town of Kipsbergen, is one of the oldest intact hamlets along the Hudson River and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a contributor to the Hudson River National Historic Landmark District.

There is an abundance of things to do and places to see in the area around Rhinecliff. Activities and attractions include antiquing, theater, golf, tennis, museums and galleries. Several historic estates in the area offer tours and events, including the Vanderbilt Mansion, the home of FDR, Olana (Thomas Church) and Mongomery Place. Guests enjoy horseback riding, wine tasting, fishing and boating, hiking and hot air balloon rides.
