There's a little cozy place in Saugerties, New York called Love Bites. People travel for miles around to eat there for breakfast and lunch. It's not fancy at all, but the food is about as creative as I've ever experienced. If you like waffles, you can only wonder what that day's offering will be; Peanut Butter and Jelly Waffles, or will it be Pecan Pie Waffles? Hmmmm... mouth is watering already.
There are only seven tables--maybe eight--and they're small, but nobody minds, as Mark, the co-owner, greets everyone between visits to the open kitchen in happy view of all. The day's menu is on the blackboard, in colorful chalk listings.
Do you want a unique, fun, brunch-like experience? It's worth the trip. Don't dress up, though, it's about as informal as any restaurant can get, but every bite is--well--lovely, at Love Bites.
